[AUTOHOME New Car Launch] On August 21, the 2026 Chengdu Motor Show officially kicked off. The all-new mid-to-large MPV under the Xiangjie brand, Xiangjie V8, made its official debut. Its overall dimensions are close to those of Zhijie V9, and it provides two power options: range-extended and pure electric.

In terms of appearance, the new vehicle adopts the family design style of the Xiangjie brand as a whole. The star-ring headlight assembly, paired with the thick front design and the high-inclination front windshield, gives it a decent business vibe. In terms of assisted driving, the roof is integrated with Huawei's 896-line LiDAR, and is equipped with the Qiankun Intelligent Driving System and Tuling Platform, which has the potential for L3-level intelligent driving.

On the side of the body, the vehicle adopts nearly flat roof lines, matched with chrome trim strips on the window edges and the lower edge of the doors, creating a good sense of visual layering. For the rear part, it adopts a through-type taillight assembly, with the English logo of the Xiangjie brand above it. In terms of size, its length, width and height are 5335/2005/1805mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3250mm, and it is positioned as a mid-to-large MPV.
In terms of power, the entire Xiangjie V8 series provides two drive versions: single motor and dual motor. The motor parameters of the pure electric version are consistent with those of the range-extended version. The range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender, and the maximum power of the engine is 118kW. The maximum power of the single motor version of both the pure electric version and the range-extended version is 227kW; for the dual motor version, the maximum power of the front motor is 160kW, and the maximum power of the rear motor is 227kW. The range-extended version provides two battery packs with capacities of 56kWh and 75.4kWh, corresponding to pure electric cruising ranges of 275km, 260km and 339km respectively. The pure electric version is equipped with a 120kWh battery pack, and the pure electric cruising ranges of the new vehicle are 775km and 830km.
Editor's Review:
As the fourth MPV model launched by HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility following Zhijie V9 and Zunjie V800/V680, Xiangjie V8 has similar body dimensions to Zhijie V9, and will also be equipped with the full suite of HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility products. It is positioned as a family flagship MPV, while Zhijie V9 is positioned as a panoramic smart flagship MPV. Then, will Xiangjie V8 enter the market with a more affordable price? Let's wait and see.
