[AUTOHOME | New Car Debut] At the 2026 Chengdu Motor Show, the Fangchengbao Tai 9 made its debut. As the flagship model of Fangchengbao's Tai series, it follows the signature square-box body design of the Tai family, and is positioned as a plug-in hybrid full-size SUV with a 6-seat layout.



In terms of exterior, the Fangchengbao Tai 9 adopts a square-box styling. The front face is equipped with a brand-new through-type annular light strip that surrounds the brand LOGO. The lower part of the front end is fitted with a silver skid plate and active air intake grille, and the roof is equipped with LiDAR.



The side of the body adopts a family-style design and a floating roof. Its body lines are consistent with those of the Tai 7, with a three-dimensional waistline matched with flared wheel arches, and adopts a body structure of short front overhang and long rear overhang. As for the body dimensions of the new car, its length, width and height are 5270/1999/1850mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, an approach angle of 19° and a departure angle of 22°. It offers multiple styles of rims in two specifications of 21 inches and 22 inches for selection.

The rear of the car adopts a split tailgate opening structure, and is equipped with exclusive-styled taillights, a roof spoiler integrated with a high-mounted brake light, and a hidden rear wiper. The new car provides three seat layouts: 5-seater, 6-seater and 7-seater, and the third-row seats of all models support full folding.

In terms of chassis, the new car adopts a monocoque body structure, is equipped with DiSus-P Ultra intelligent hydraulic suspension, and comes with a rear-wheel steering system as standard across the entire series, which is suitable for urban road driving and light off-road scenarios.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T engine + front and rear dual-motor plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive system, matched with the sixth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The maximum power of the 1.5T engine is 115kW, and the total power of the front and rear motors is 400kW. The vehicle is fitted with a 66.48kWh battery pack, with a pure electric range of 310km under WLTC cycle, and a comprehensive range of over 2300km with full tank and fully charged battery.
