As a boxy full-size SUV, it is equipped with Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving, adopts an 800V high-voltage platform, and offers two power versions: pure electric and range-extended.

● New Vehicle Features:

In terms of appearance, the vehicle adopts a brand-new design concept, breaking away from the family design framework of HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility, giving it a stronger visual impact. Specifically, it is equipped with vertical headlight clusters, with circular and semicircular light shapes inside, which have good recognizability. Meanwhile, its intelligent driving small blue light is integrated into it, adopting circular elements, which brings a strong sense of freshness.

In terms of assisted driving, the Stelato G9 is an SUV with L3-level architecture design, and has obtained the L3-level test license. The new vehicle is adapted to the all-terrain assisted driving system, and is equipped with a new generation of dual-optical path image-level LiDAR.

For body colors, the new vehicle will provide a total of 5 options: Obsidian Black, Polar Gray, Mo Ridge Green, Wilderness Gold and Universe Red. In addition, the vehicle can also be optional with the Black Yao kit, which is only available for Obsidian Black/Mo Ridge Green/Universe Red exterior colors. Meanwhile, the wheels will be limited to two options: 20-inch Seven Balance Star Gallop or 22-inch Six Pointed Star Brilliant.

On the side of the body, the new vehicle is equipped with the iconic L-shaped chrome trim on the D-pillar, star-picking door handles and star-shining wheels. The chrome trim on the door side enhances the sense of luxury, and it is also equipped with electric pedals and side wing welcome light carpets. In terms of the rear, the vehicle also adopts a vertical taillight cluster design, with a circular light structure added inside, which forms a visual echo with the front of the car. Meanwhile, the shape of the external spare tire and side-opening tailgate enhances the off-road attribute of this vehicle. In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 5377/2050/1897mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3160mm, which is larger than that of the Yangwang U8.

In other aspects, the new vehicle has an approach angle of 23°, a departure angle of 26°, and a maximum wading depth of 900mm. The vehicle has a 2000kg quasi-towing qualification from the factory, which can be adapted to scenarios such as towing caravans and loading large outdoor equipment. The roof of the roof tent version supports unilateral lifting, which can realize a double-layer tent expansion structure. The roof of the vehicle retains the openable panoramic sunroof structure, which forms spatial interaction with the interior. At the same time, the upper space is also very spacious, and when the sunroof is closed, it forms a wide and comfortable big bed. The roof tent is breathable on multiple sides, bringing a space of 2260L, and the maximum load bearing in the roof tent is 260kg. In addition, the tailgate of the new vehicle opens sideways, and can extend a table plate, which supports hot cooking, hot drinks and water flushing, expanding the living space.
In terms of interior, the vehicle still adopts the Stelato family-style three-screen design, consisting of a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument, a 17.2-inch central control screen, and a 17.2-inch co-pilot entertainment screen. It is equipped with the latest HarmonyOS cockpit system, which supports Huawei full-device interconnection, multi-screen content circulation and application ecosystem expansion. A large number of physical buttons with metallic texture and variable damping central knob are retained in the car, covering one-button control of chassis, cockpit and outdoor expansion.
In terms of seats, the new vehicle provides two original seat layouts, which are 2+3 five-seat and 2+2+2 six-seat respectively. The front row is equipped with dual zero-gravity seats for the driver and co-pilot, with active side wing support and fascia-gun-like massage; the five-seat version is equipped with a boss key and a Maglink Mini entertainment screen; the second row of the six-seat version is equipped with independent aviation seats made of genuine leather, which support four adjustment functions: ventilation, heating, multi-level massage and electric leg rest. In addition, the vehicle will also be equipped with forest-level on-board oxygen generation system, on-board refrigerator, 17-inch rear entertainment screen, rear privacy light curtain, on-board walkie-talkie and other configurations, to further enhance the luxury experience of long-distance and outdoor scenarios.
In terms of power, the Stelato G9 provides two power options: pure electric and range-extended, both adopting Huawei Giant Whale 800V platform and front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive system. The peak power of the front motor is 160kW, the peak power of the rear motor is 277kW, and the comprehensive maximum power of the system is 437kW, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4 seconds level. The pure electric version is equipped with a 120kWh ternary lithium battery, with a CLTC cruising range of 701km/728km respectively. The range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender (which can be filled with 92# gasoline), and is provided with 56kWh and 75.4kWh batteries respectively, with a maximum CLTC pure electric cruising range of 405km, and a comprehensive cruising range of 1271km/1366km respectively.
In terms of chassis, the new vehicle adopts front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, and is equipped with dual-chamber air suspension and dual-valve continuous variable damping shock absorber. The body height adjustment range is 80mm raised to 50mm lowered, with a total adjustment stroke of 130mm, and supports automatic adjustment of body height with speed. It is also equipped with a ±12° rear wheel steering system to improve the flexibility of urban commuting. For outdoor off-road, the Stelato G9 adopts a structure of load-bearing body + embedded reinforced girder to improve its crossing ability. In addition, it is also equipped with Huawei Smart Engine rear axle adaptive mechanical differential lock (built-in jaw type mechanical differential lock), which can perceive road conditions in real time and lock automatically; the HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility all-terrain system (snow, mud, sand, auto, sport, etc.) can independently identify the terrain and automatically adjust chassis parameters; as well as the 800V full-active disconnectable stabilizer bar, which has a larger torque motor output and faster response speed compared with the 48V disconnectable stabilizer bar. It can actively disconnect on low-speed uneven roads to improve driving stability, and actively tighten when cornering at high speed to suppress roll.
● Competitor Models
The competition circle that the Stelato G9 has to face is quite broad. After its launch, models such as Fangchengbao Bao 8 and Tank 700 have the closest product demands to it. They also focus on body-on-frame structure, and are equipped with comfort configurations such as refrigerator, color TV and large sofa, so as to balance off-road attributes and family experience, and meet the diversified car needs of users. Objectively speaking, such body-on-frame hardcore off-road models can give users stronger confidence in crossing in extreme off-road scenarios such as deserts and rocks due to their body structure. However, limited by their intelligent foundation, there is still an obvious gap compared with the Stelato G9 in terms of the ride comfort of the whole vehicle, high-level driving assistance capability, and the richness of the full set of outdoor scenario modes.
In addition, a number of domestic flagship 9-series full-size SUVs will also form direct competition with the Stelato G9. Compared with these competitors that are biased towards urban luxury orientation, the biggest differentiated advantage of the Stelato G9 is that it balances the quality of urban commuting and reliable outdoor traffic capacity, which can meet both daily urban travel and weekend long-distance travel.
● Editor's Review
The Stelato G9 is the first off-road SUV of HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility, filling the product gap of the brand in this segment. The model integrates the technical resources of BAIC Off-Road, positions itself in the high-end new energy SUV track, accurately matches the market demand of high-end intelligent off-road models, and cuts into the high-end new energy vehicle market with a clear differentiated product layout. The new vehicle is equipped with a number of Huawei's cutting-edge technologies for the first time, setting a number of precedents at the product level. It is worth noting that the Stelato G9 has received 15,000 orders within 72 hours of pre-sale. This order data also confirms that the market does not lack consumer demand for "intelligent luxury hardcore SUVs".
After the official pricing is released, the Stelato G9 will officially face the competition of two major circles: hardcore off-road and urban flagship SUVs. The next real test comes from the conversion from small deposits to large deposits, the delivery capacity of the factory and the undertaking capacity of the terminal channels. If the subsequent delivery rhythm can keep up with the popularity, the Stelato G9 has the opportunity to rewrite the market pattern of high-end new energy SUVs, and open up a new incremental track for HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility that balances urban commuting and outdoor off-road; but at the same time, the capacity of the high-end hardcore track itself is limited, and it will also face the continuous follow-up of competitors and the test of users' actual car use reputation in the follow-up. What kind of long-term sales answer sheet it can hand in is worthy of our continuous observation. (Text/Zhou Yi, AUTOHOME )
