[AUTOHOME News] On the eve of the opening of the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, the front pavilion exploration team of AutoHome captured the real vehicle of Dongfeng Aeolus L8Y. This model will be officially launched at the Chengdu Auto Show that kicks off on August 21. Positioned as a compact pure electric SUV with a 5-seat layout, the new model targets young family users, and the CLTC pure electric range of the flagship version can reach 535km.

In terms of appearance, the overall shape of the vehicle is dynamic and neat. The double-swallow luminous LOGO on the front face is technological and exquisite. The side of the body adopts sharp waistlines running through the front and rear, and is equipped with traditional door handles. For body size, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 4688/1900/1617mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2775mm. The taillight set adopts a through-type design, and the main light sources on both sides adopt three groups of array shapes, which have certain recognition after being lit.

In terms of interior, the vehicle is equipped with a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument and AR-HUD, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 vehicle chip, supporting HUAWEI HiCar, Carlink and Carplay functions. The front row of the vehicle is standard equipped with cloud soft large sofas. Both the driver and passenger seats support seat massage, ventilation, heating, memory welcome and other functions, and are equipped with three-airbag four-way lumbar supports to effectively relieve waist fatigue.

In terms of power, the flagship model is equipped with a single-motor pure electric power system, with a maximum power of 135kW and a maximum torque of 260N·m, equipped with a 61.83kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the CLTC pure electric range is 535km.
