The new vehicle will be equipped with HarmonySpace 5 cockpit and Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 Pro, and is expected to add high-level assisted driving functions such as urban navigation assistance, to further enhance its intelligent user experience. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Deepal G318 is fitted with a 1.5T range-extended plug-in hybrid powertrain, with drive motors on both front and rear axles, and its maximum CLTC pure electric range can reach 186km.

New Deepal G318
In terms of exterior design, the new model is largely consistent with the current on-sale version, but its door handles have been changed from the original hidden design to a conventional one, presumably to meet the requirements of new regulations. The vehicle measures 5125mm in length, 2025mm in width and 1895mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2880mm. It comes with 18-inch rims matched with 255/65 R18 tires, and is equipped with rear ventilated brake discs.
In terms of interior, the design of the new Deepal G318 remains the same as that of the current model, with adjustments mainly made to configurations. It is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, a full LCD instrument cluster and a central control touchscreen, while the physical buttons on the air conditioning panel are retained. The most obvious change in the cockpit design is at the bottom area of the center console: the style of the gear shifter and the position of the front cup holders have been adjusted, and the mobile phone storage slot area has been enlarged.

The intelligent cockpit of the new vehicle has been upgraded to HarmonySpace 5. The core of the new-generation Harmony cockpit adopts the MoLA (Mixture of Large Model Agents) architecture, realizing the leap from "passive response" to "active service". It has four core features, namely natural spoken interaction, multimodal perception, seamless ecosystem circulation and scenario-based active care, further improving the intelligent user experience for consumers.
In terms of intelligent driving, the new vehicle is equipped with Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 Pro, which is based on the WEWA 2.0 end-to-end AI architecture. It supports functions including high-speed navigation assistance, mapless urban navigation assistance, park pilot assistance (automatic parking space searching and parking), parking-to-parking 3.0 and reverse tracking. It is also equipped with the CAS 5.0 full-dimensional anti-collision system, General Obstacle Emergency Braking (GAEB) and Emergency Steering Assist (ESA), further enhancing the safety of the new vehicle.

Engine Compartment of the Current Deepal G318
In terms of power, the new Deepal G318 is expected to continue adopting the 1.5T range-extended plug-in hybrid powertrain from the current model. The engine has a maximum power of 110kW, drive motors are fitted on both front and rear axles, with the front motor delivering a maximum power of 131kW and the rear motor 185kW. The comprehensive output of the powertrain reaches 316kW. It is equipped with a 35.07kWh battery pack, with a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 186km. The specific configurations of different trims shall be subject to the information announced at the official launch conference. (Written by Chang Qinglin, AUTOHOME )
