[AUTOHOME News] Recently, iCAR Motors announced via its official WeChat public account that the V25 model will make its official debut at the V Chinese Version Blue Tone Escape Music Party held in Chengdu on August 14. The new vehicle is equipped with a range extender system composed of a 1.5T range extender, with a maximum pure electric range of 150km. It adopts the family design language for appearance and still retains the "square box" shape.
In terms of appearance, the iCAR V25 adopts the square box design language, which looks like a "larger size" iCAR V23 at first glance, and its round headlights are highly recognizable. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the iCAR V25 are 4636x1920x1855mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2820mm, and it adopts a five-seat layout. The side of the body introduces a newly designed blind window shape, matched with straight and tough lines, to enhance the overall sense and sense of strength.
The tailgate of the new vehicle adopts a side-opening design, with an external "small schoolbag" spare tire mount, which provides stronger expanded storage capacity. In terms of trafficability parameters, the standard version has an approach angle of 28° and a departure angle of 24°, and the departure angle is adjusted to 15° after the traction device is optionally installed. The weight parameters are divided into two grades according to configuration versions: the curb weight of the standard version is 2221kg, and the curb weight is 2240kg after the optional traction device is installed, while the gross mass of both versions is 2720kg. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 180km/h, and two tire specifications are available, which are 255/55R19 and 265/45R21 respectively.
According to the previous declaration information of the new vehicle, the V25 supports optional lidar. Referring to the Falcon intelligent driving solution equipped on the V27 -- Horizon Journey 6 series high-computing power chip (560TOPS) and one-piece end-to-end architecture -- the V25 will most likely inherit the same technical system. This means that it will be equipped with functions such as high-speed navigation assisted driving, urban intelligent driving, and automatic parking.
In terms of power, the new vehicle will adopt 1.5T range extender power. The range extender engine model is SQRH4J15, produced by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., with a displacement of 1499ml and an engine power of 115kW, corresponding to a combined fuel consumption of 1.54L/100km under WLTC cycle. The new vehicle is equipped with a 33.679kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with pure electric ranges of 145km and 150km respectively.
