The PV7 is the second electric van in Kia's PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) product line, and is scheduled to be officially launched in 2027.
The spy shots of the PV7 exposed this time focus on the rear of the vehicle. Its wide and straight body lines are somewhat reminiscent of the Ford Transit, and the slender vertical taillights are relatively simple. According to public information, the PV7 is expected to provide a variety of body forms, seat configurations and space layout solutions, which are suitable for passenger transport and commercial purposes, and even have the potential to be converted into high-end camper vans. Kia officials previously stated that the PV7 has "the largest interior space in the product line".
According to previous reports, the PV7 prototype is equipped with a charging port on the front face, and another charging port is suspected to be set on the passenger side. It is worth mentioning that the shapes of the rear bumper and taillights are also significantly different from those of the PV5. The wider body design is expected to bring more abundant interior space.

The dimensions of the PV7 concept car released by Kia at the 2024 CES show are: 5270mm in length, 2065mm in width, 2120mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3390mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the passenger version of the PV5 are: 4695mm in length, 1895mm in width, 1915mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2995mm.

The launch of the PV7 is based on the market success of the PV5. As the first model of Kia's PBV business, the PV5 quickly became the best-selling small (C-segment) electric van in Europe and the UK after its launch last year. In the first half of 2026, the PV5's market share in the C-segment electric van market in five countries exceeded 50%: 63% in Denmark, 62% in Ireland, 59% in Sweden, 58% in Finland, and 54% in the UK. While continuing to expand the PV5 product line, Kia is actively preparing to launch the larger-sized PV7 to cover higher-level market demand.

At present, the passenger version of the PV5 sold in the European market provides two battery packs of 51.5kWh and 71.2kWh, with WLTP ranges of 295km and 412km respectively. The industry expects the PV7 to introduce larger-capacity battery options by virtue of its longer wheelbase, but the specific power parameters have not yet been announced.

Of course, the PV7 is only one part of Kia's PBV product matrix. After launching the PV7 in 2027, Kia also plans to launch the larger-sized PV9 model in 2029. By then, Kia will form a complete electric van product line covering the PV5, PV7 and PV9, with the goal of selling a cumulative total of 232,000 PBV models by 2030.
