In terms of appearance, the overall design of BAIC Off-Road Xingtan 5X draws on the design ideas of the previously unveiled "City Hunter" concept model. The fuel version adopts a square front and a straight waterfall front grille, while the plug-in hybrid and pure electric models adopt a simple closed front face, which gives it good visual recognition. From the side of the body, the car adopts a traditional style door handle shape, and is equipped with straight roof lines and roof racks, which enriches the visual layering of the side and also gives it more bright interior headroom. For the rear, the car adopts a side door opening mechanism and is equipped with an external spare tire, which is in line with the positioning of this car.

In terms of power, the fuel version of BAIC Off-Road Xingtan 5X is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 187kW; the pure electric model has a maximum power of 227kW and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack; the plug-in hybrid model is equipped with a 1.5T engine, providing single-motor and dual-motor models, the engine has a maximum power of 105kW, the single motor has a maximum power of 200kW, the dual motors have a maximum power of 200kW (front) and 200kW (rear) respectively, equipped with a 50.4kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the pure electric cruising range is 232km.
