FREELANDER 8 is jointly built by Chery and Jaguar Land Rover. Its overall styling highly restores the design concept of the Concept 97, combining both luxury and off-road styles. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 5118 (5185)/2050/1898mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3040mm. In addition, the vehicle supports optional towing devices, and the total mass of the allowed towed trailer is 2000kg.
FREELANDER 8 adopts the interior design concept of "Home in the Environment", and is equipped with a 46.3-inch ultra-large MiniLED remote screen, a 15.6-inch MiniLED central control screen, a 17.3-inch rear eye-protecting ceiling screen and a 5.98-inch armrest control screen. At the same time, the vehicle is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 automotive-grade chip, which adopts an advanced 4nm process, with a computing power of up to 320 TOPS. The new model adopts a 2+2+2 6-seat layout. The front driver's seat continues the family's iconic "Commander's Seat" high seating position design, and is equipped with exclusive configurations such as gentle breeze air conditioning, electric password glove box, etc. The second row is equipped with zero-gravity seats, paired with an intelligent clean cold and warm box, electric sunshade, etc.
In terms of power, FREELANDER 8 will be equipped with a range-extended power system. The 1.5T range extender has a maximum power of 115kW, paired with a 60.331kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with a pure electric cruising range of 221km. According to official introduction, FREELANDER 8 will also be equipped with an 896-line LiDAR, standard Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 assisted driving system for the whole lineup, as well as i-ATS intelligent all-terrain system, front mechanical differential lock, rear e-LSD limited slip differential, virtual center lock, closed dual-chamber air suspension and other configurations.
