[AUTOHOME News] Recently, we learned that Leapmotor A05 will be launched on August 10. Positioned as a small car, the new model is now open for blind booking, with a maximum cruising range of 510km. The entire lineup comes standard with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip, and LiDAR is available as an optional extra.
In terms of exterior design, the Leapmotor A05 adopts the family design language of Leapmotor's A series, with an iconic closed grille and exclusive styled headlight cluster at the front. The two-tone body design further highlights its personality, matched with semi-hidden door handles and double five-spoke two-tone rims. The rear is equipped with smiley-face taillights, whose shape is consistent with that of the Leapmotor A10. As for dimensions, the new car measures 4200mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2605mm.
For the interior, the new car is fitted with 256-color ambient lighting, an 8.88-inch LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central control screen. The core hardware of the cockpit includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and a 12-speaker sound system. The car is also equipped with a floating IP BAR structure, which supports official expandable accessories such as DIY aromatherapy ambient lights, window-breaking safety hammers and doll brackets.
In terms of seats, the new car comes with 7-layer cloud-sensing seats, supporting four scenario modes: nap reclining, large bed, pet accommodation and private storage. The second-row seats are equipped with independent small table boards, and the seat cushions support upward folding. There are 33 storage spaces in the whole car. The conventional trunk volume is 474L, with a maximum expanded volume of 1308L, and a 91L sunken exclusive storage space is also provided.
In terms of power, the Leapmotor A05 offers two motor versions with power output of 70kW and 90kW, with CLTC cruising ranges of 405km and 510km respectively. (Text/Qin Chao, AUTOHOME )
