[AUTOHOME Overseas Spy Shots] Recently, spy shots of the all-new generation Volkswagen Amarok have been exposed. The vehicle was spotted in Argentina with the lightest camouflage to date. The new model is scheduled to officially launch in the first quarter of 2027, debuting in the Argentine market first, and then being introduced to Brazil. The all-new Amarok is born from a cooperation project between Volkswagen and SAIC Motor. Its platform is derived from the Maxus Interstellar X. Volkswagen officials stated that the suspension, steering and overall dynamic characteristics of the new vehicle are all developed and tuned under the leadership of Volkswagen's engineering team.

In terms of appearance, the front of the vehicle still retains the tall engine hood and wide air intake grille, adopts an exclusive design language, which is more in line with the visual style of the Volkswagen brand. The through-type light strip connects the headlights on both sides and the central brand logo, which will become the visual focus of the front face. The layout of the headlight assembly is also completely different from that of the current model. The changes to the side of the body and the rear are relatively limited. Adjustments mainly focus on alloy rims, brand logos and minor exterior trim parts, such as rearview mirrors and wheel arch trim strips. The President of Volkswagen Argentina said that the all-new model integrates "Volkswagen brand genes and engineering technology", and at the same time relies on Chinese partners to bring a faster development rhythm and advanced technology.

In terms of power, the all-new Amarok will be equipped with a hybrid system, and the official has not yet announced the details of the powertrain. However, according to sources, the top-spec version of the vehicle will be named Amarok 800 TSI, which is named after the 800 N·m comprehensive output torque of this plug-in hybrid system. It is expected that the comprehensive maximum power of the entire power system of the new vehicle is expected to exceed 470 horsepower, it is equipped with a four-wheel drive system, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time can reach within 5 seconds.
