[AUTOHOME News] On July 30, BYD officially released more information about its Dynasty 9 Series flagship sedan, the Dahan. The vehicle has a length of 5256mm and a wheelbase of 3130mm, and offers two power options: plug-in hybrid and pure electric. The pure electric version has a maximum CLTC cruising range of 1008km, the 4WD version accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 270km/h. Meanwhile, the BYD Dahan will make its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show in August.

In terms of exterior design, the front face of the vehicle still follows the "Dragon Face" design of the Dynasty family, and the integrated through-type light cluster paired with the dragon whisker styling gives it very high recognition. The shape of the lower bumper echoes the daytime running lights, and it is equipped with an active grille, with vent designs on both sides.


In terms of body dimensions, the vehicle measures 5256mm in length, 1999mm in width and 1510mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm. The vehicle will also offer 20-inch and 21-inch wheels as options, among which the 21-inch wheels can be optionally fitted with floating wheel center caps to enhance the sense of luxury. The rear of the vehicle still adopts through-type taillights, the internal light cavity uses a style similar to Chinese knots, and the lower bumper adopts a three-stage design to enhance the sense of sportiness.


In terms of power, the plug-in hybrid version will be equipped with a combination of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The maximum power of the engine is 115kW, the maximum power of the electric motor is 200kW, the power battery capacity is 54.489kWh, and the WLTC pure electric cruising range is 370km. The pure electric version offers rear-wheel drive and 4WD versions, the maximum power of the rear-wheel drive model's motor is 370kW, the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the 4WD version is 200kW and 370kW respectively, the 4WD version accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 270km/h. According to previous information, it will be equipped with a 102.326kWh battery pack, and provides five CLTC cruising ranges of 820km, 850km, 880km, 970km and 1008km according to different model configurations.
