[AUTOHOME News] Recently, suspected official images of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA have been leaked. Built on the MMA platform, the new model will offer three powertrain options: pure electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid. It will make its debut on July 29, with the pure electric version hitting the market first this autumn, while the hybrid version will not be available to consumers until the spring of 2027.
In terms of exterior design, the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA adopts the brand's new family design language. Its front grille is similar to that of the all-electric GLC, paying homage to the retro shield-shaped grille, with a large Mercedes-Benz logo at the center. The three-pointed star emblem elements are integrated into the headlight clusters on both sides, and the two sides of the front bumper feature the familiar air duct design.
The vehicle features a blacked-out styling and is equipped with large-size wheels, while retaining the dynamic coupe-SUV silhouette. The taillight clusters also adopt the three-pointed star design, giving the rear a more sporty look, and the overall drag coefficient has also been significantly optimized.
Spy shots of its interior have also been revealed. The new model will be equipped with the MBUX Superscreen system, which consists of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and two 14-inch central control screens, forming a layout that spans the entire cockpit.
In terms of power, the pure electric version will replace the previous EQA model. The rear-wheel drive variant delivers a maximum power of 200kW, while the four-wheel drive variant has a maximum power of 260kW. It is fitted with an 85kWh battery pack, offering a maximum cruising range of 779km, and is equipped with an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture that supports ultra-high-speed charging. A performance-oriented AMG pure electric version will be launched later, with a maximum power of up to 500kW. In addition to the pure electric variant, the plug-in hybrid version is expected to be powered by a combination of a 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor; the mild hybrid version will come with a 1.5T engine paired with a 48V motor, with the front-wheel drive variant expected to output 160 horsepower, and the four-wheel drive variant delivering 190 horsepower.
