[AutoHome News] Recently, some media have produced renderings of the all-new Peugeot e-208. It is reported that the new vehicle is built on the STLA One platform, will follow the design of the Polygon concept car, with a starting price likely to be lower than 30,000 euros (approximately RMB 232,000), and will be launched in 2027.

In the renderings, the new vehicle adopts a low wind resistance design as a tribute to the classic model 205 (a hatchback launched by Peugeot in the 1980s), and continues the style of the Polygon concept car. The front hood uses a clamshell design, the headlight assembly is in the classic lion claw style and runs through the entire front face, the air intake at the front bumper adopts a three-section design, and the diversion grooves on both sides also hide the light units.

The rear of the vehicle in the renderings echoes the headlights, also adopting a lion claw-style through-type design. The rear window has a wide field of view, and is equipped with a dynamic rear spoiler, while the rear bumper is finished with streamlined high-gloss black paint.

The interior may adopt the highly personalized rectangular steering wheel of the Polygon concept car, and the four round luminous buttons also have a stronger sci-fi feel. As it is a steer-by-wire steering wheel, it does not require too much rotation when steering, and the steering effort can be adjusted with the speed. In terms of power, sources say that the all-new Peugeot e-208 will be equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a WLTP cruising range of 500km, and no more power information has been announced yet.
