[Autohome News] Recently, we spotted the new EXEED Yaoguang C-DM model in the Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Eligible for Vehicle Purchase Tax Reduction and Exemption (Batch 32). The new vehicle adopts a plug-in hybrid system, will be fitted with a larger battery pack for better range performance, it is equipped with a 32.659kWh battery pack, providing 140km and 160km of pure electric driving range. Previously, the patent images of the vehicle were leaked, and the new model has been adjusted in multiple aspects including the front fascia, body details and rear styling, but the final design of the production vehicle is subject to official release.

According to the patent images, the new model will adopt an inverted trapezoidal horizontal dot-matrix air intake grille. The headlight clusters on both sides are seamlessly connected to the front grille, the outline of the light clusters has been slightly adjusted, and the layout of the internal light source structure has been optimized, matched with the brand's signature X-shaped starship daytime running lights (DRLs). The side profile basically retains the body outline of the current model, maintaining the classic wide-body low-slung stance. The rear styling focuses on enhancing layering and sporty attributes, the iconic full-width star river taillights are retained, the internal lamp cavity structure of the light cluster is optimized, and the light effect is coherent and smooth when lit.

In terms of power, referring to the current EXEED Yaoguang models, the 2027 EXEED Yaoguang offers two powertrain options: plug-in hybrid and pure fuel. The plug-in hybrid model is equipped with the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI high-efficiency hybrid-specific 1.5T four-cylinder engine, which adopts deep Miller cycle. The engine has a maximum power of 115kW and a maximum torque of 220N·m, matched with a continuously variable super hybrid DHT transmission. The electric motor has a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 310N·m. The power battery uses Rhinoceros square-blade lithium iron phosphate battery, with a capacity of 19.53kWh, a CLTC pure electric range of 120km, and a comprehensive range of up to 1400km.
