[Auto Home Official New Car Images] On July 17, Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD Dynasty Network Sales Division, released the official images of BYD's "Tang 8 Series" on Weibo. This model forms a two-car strategy with the Tang 9 Series, and may adopt a new name later. According to sources, the price of the Tang 8 Series may be higher than that of the Tang L, and it will be launched in the second half of the year.

In terms of appearance, combined with the previous declaration images from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the vehicle overall adopts the design style of the Grand Tang. The closed front grille, paired with the upward-swept headlight clusters on both sides and the central through-type chrome trim strip, gives its front face a grand and fashionable visual effect. In terms of dimensions, its length, width and height are 5045/1980/1760mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2950mm, and both front and rear wheel tracks are 1700mm. It can be seen that the new Tang is basically consistent with the Tang L in length, wheelbase and height, and is slightly smaller in body width and wheel track.

Viewed from the side of the body, the vehicle adopts semi-hidden door handles, matched with a dense-spoke rim design, creating a nice sense of refinement. At the same time, the new car will also be equipped with a Qianshan Cui dual-tone body to meet more aesthetic needs. In terms of the rear, it uses a through-type taillight cluster, with the BYD brand LOGO added in the center, paired with a fairly large spoiler above to enrich the visual layering. In terms of assisted driving, the vehicle will come standard with TianShen Eye B.

In terms of power, only one single-motor model of the vehicle has been declared so far, equipped with a drive motor of model TZ205QYD, with a maximum power of 300 kW and a calibrated maximum speed of 250 km/h. At the same time, the vehicle will also be equipped with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, with a pure electric range of 850 km; in terms of energy replenishment, it can achieve "5 minutes for sufficient range, 9 minutes for 90% charge, and only 3 more minutes at -30°C". In addition, it may be equipped with the DiSus-A Intelligent Air Body Control System, which has dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview function, and can quickly respond to road condition changes. We will continue to follow up on more information about this vehicle. (Text / Zhou Yi, Auto Home)
