[AUTOHOME Official New Car Images] Recently, the official images of the Mercedes-AMG CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung have been officially released. This is the second model from the Mythos high-end custom legendary series department, following the AMG SL63 PureSpeed, with a limited production run of 30 units. It features brand-new aerodynamics and a lightweight design, and is powered by a V8 twin-turbocharged engine with a maximum power output of 646 horsepower, delivering an extraordinary driving experience both on public roads and race tracks.

Looking at the new car, it adopts a redesigned wide-body kit based on the AMG CLE, with the front and rear axles widened by 60mm, allowing it to withstand higher lateral G-forces. The front end features a brand-new aerodynamic design, with air intakes and vents equipped on the hood. The large-sized grille meets cooling requirements, while vents added on both sides of the headlights regulate airflow. Large-sized vents on both sides of the front bumper help dissipate heat for the braking system. Meanwhile, the front lip is equipped with a spoiler with manually adjustable blade angle, meeting different demands for daily driving and track use.

The vehicle will be fitted with 20-inch AMG Performance forged wheels, with front and rear tire sizes of 305/30ZR20 and 335/30 ZR20 respectively, and uses Michelin Cup2R tires with a custom compound, the formula technology of which is derived from the AMG One. In addition, components including the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, roof, adjustable angle spoiler and diffuser are all made of carbon fiber. The rear side windows and rear windshield have also been replaced with lightweight polycarbonate materials for weight reduction, making it approximately 170 kilograms lighter than the AMG CLE 53.

The interior of the vehicle is also designed with performance as the starting point. Weight is reduced by removing the rear seats and sound insulation materials, and a roll cage and bucket seats are installed to meet track requirements. Meanwhile, its entertainment functions have been appropriately reduced, thus cutting down the number of buttons on the multi-function steering wheel.

In terms of power, it is equipped with the AMG M177 EVO 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged flat-plane crank engine, with a maximum power of 646 horsepower (475kW) and a peak torque of 850 N·m. The powertrain is matched with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, adopting rear-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0 to 200km/h in just 11.4 seconds, with a top speed of 310km/h. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with a titanium alloy exhaust system and carbon-ceramic brake system. (Text/AUTOHOME Guo Chen)
