The new car is equipped with Ralliart-exclusive livery and modified accessories, reviving the brand's classic heritage from the Dakar Rally. However, the official subsequently made it clear that there are currently no mass production plans for this high-performance styled concept car.
The all-new Pajero made its global premiere on September 2. The core significance of the Pajero Rally Concept Car unveiled this time is to carry on the legendary motorsport heritage of the Pajero, which has won 12 overall Dakar Rally championships, rather than serving as a preview version of an all-new high-performance production model. Keisuke Kishiura, President of Mitsubishi, also emphasized that Ralliart's motorsport heritage and brand historical accumulation are crucial core assets in Mitsubishi's off-road system. Even if there are no current plans for mass-produced high-performance models, the brand will continue to carry forward the genes of this classic IP.
This concept car has not received exclusive upgrades to core hardware such as the chassis and powertrain. It is built entirely based on the production version of the Pajero, and all modified components are accessories that can be directly installed. Specific parts include a full set of off-road kits such as front and rear widened fender flares, an exclusive customized C-pillar trim cover, red off-road skid plates, and a high-mounted snorkel. The aforementioned modified accessories are all compatible with the standard version of the all-new Pajero and are damage-free installation kits. Mitsubishi is currently evaluating the feasibility of officially selling these exclusive accessories through official channels. In the future, consumers are expected to directly purchase original Ralliart-style modified parts to create their own exclusive off-road styling.
The Ralliart series currently only exists as an appearance style kit. The full set of modified accessories displayed by this concept car also indicates Mitsubishi's future upgrade direction for off-road products, providing car enthusiasts with a new possibility of official modification.
