[AUTOHOME News] Recently, we learned from official sources that GAC AION Ray 7 will be unveiled on August 19. The new model will focus on sporty handling, and will be equipped with a high-level advanced driver-assistance system. GAC AION Ray 7 is the first model of the all-new Ray series, which is built exclusively for young user groups.
In terms of exterior design, the AION Ray 7 adopts the brand's new design language. The front end is equipped with a star-ring-style full-width light strip, with the refreshed illuminated English brand LOGO integrated in the center of the light strip. Large-sized air vents are set below the front face, and ventilation structures are also provided on both sides. LiDAR is mounted on the roof of the vehicle.

The side of the body is fitted with semi-hidden door handles, air vents are arranged on the front fender, the front and rear wheel arches adopt a raised design, matched with exclusive rims. The C-pillar of the vehicle is blacked out, creating the visual effect of a floating roof. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4960/1900/1455mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2920mm. As a mid-to-large size car, it is compatible with 17-inch and 19-inch rims of two specifications.

The rear of the car is equipped with a full-width taillight, with the AION brand logo set in the center of the taillight. The lighting designs of the front and rear echo each other, and the overall exterior design style is unified.


The new car is equipped with a super chassis with chip-level drive-control integration architecture for the first time, adopts CATL power battery, and is fitted with a LiDAR-assisted driving system that uses L4-level homologous algorithm and has high-level intelligent assisted driving capability.
