[AUTOHOME New Car Launch] On September 23, we learned from official sources that the new IM LS6 has been officially launched, with a total of 3 variants available, priced from 197,900 to 259,900 yuan under launch benefits. The vehicle is equipped with three core technologies: the all-new NEO three-electric architecture, the full steer-by-wire Lizard Chassis, and the IM Claw Lobster Intelligent Agent. The pure electric model offers a maximum range of 782 km, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 3.48 seconds.
New Car Features
In terms of exterior, the vehicle adopts urban style sculptural aesthetics, equipped with a closed front grille paired with T-shaped Falcon intelligent light clusters on both sides, giving it a strong visual recognition. Meanwhile, the large-size trapezoidal air intake and the front lip decorated with chrome trim appropriately enhance the sporty attributes of the car. In addition, the pure electric version is equipped with a 105L front trunk, which supports the Knock-Knock intelligent pop-up opening function. For color options, the vehicle offers Athena White, Goya Black, Jimi Silver, Mucha Green, Turner Gray and Raphael Tea.
On the side profile, the new car adopts hidden door handles, a double five-spoke wheel design and orange-red brake calipers, paired with body lines similar to those of a coupe SUV, further enhancing the sporty vibe of the vehicle. At the same time, the vehicle will also be equipped with frameless doors and four-door electric suction. At the rear, the new IM LS6 adopts a through-type taillight cluster and is equipped with an upturned ducktail spoiler, highlighting the visual layering. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 4937/1988/1671 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2960 mm.
For the interior, the vehicle adopts a wraparound cockpit design, offering two interior color options: Knight Black and Elephant Gray Beige. The cabin is equipped with a 27.1-inch 5K MiniLED central control dual screen plus a 15.6-inch 3K MiniLED passenger entertainment screen, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P in-vehicle chip and loaded with the AIOS 1.0 interactive system. Meanwhile, the vehicle is equipped with a full-spoke steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads for mobile phones, dual cup holders and uniquely shaped air conditioning vents.
For other configurations, the vehicle is equipped with a 16-speaker Danish B&O luxury sound system, 4D mechanical massage seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear seats that support 40/60 split folding, and more. The speaker covers of the B&O sound system adopt a metal brushed process, and the 4D mechanical massage seats are equipped with physical massage heads, which can more realistically reproduce the massage techniques of professional masseurs compared with inflatable airbag solutions. The vehicle is also equipped with an 11L ultra-large capacity double-door refrigerator and an IM MAG magnetic expansion dock, etc., providing nearly 30 storage spaces throughout the car.
In terms of assisted driving, the vehicle is equipped with a 520-line ultra-long-range LiDAR, adopts the IM AD ZETA assisted driving system, which empowers L2 assisted driving with L4 model capabilities, providing functions such as highway/urban NOA, memory parking assist, and parking space-to-parking space navigation assist. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle will continue to be equipped with the full steer-by-wire Lizard digital chassis, with hardware adopting front double wishbone suspension and rear multi-link suspension. High-end variants can be optionally equipped with intelligent closed air suspension and electronically controlled dampers. The entire lineup comes standard with rear-wheel steering and the Lizard vector motion control system, with the steering angle upgraded to 18° in both directions, and the minimum turning radius is 4.49 m.
In terms of power, the new car adopts pure electric drive, available in two power forms: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The single-motor rear-wheel drive version is divided into two variants with different power outputs: the standard version motor has a maximum power of 245 kW, and the high-power version motor has a maximum power of 300 kW. For the dual-motor four-wheel drive version, the front motor has a maximum power of 200 kW and the rear motor has a maximum power of 300 kW, with a combined system power of 500 kW. In terms of batteries, the vehicle offers 76kWh, 93kWh and 103kWh battery packs to choose from, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 650 km, 782 km and 750 km respectively, with 0-100 km/h acceleration times of 6.4 seconds, 5.4 seconds and 3.48 seconds.

The new IM LS6 is positioned in the highly competitive 200,000-300,000 yuan large five-seat pure electric SUV segment. Overall, the new IM LS6 has to face three types of competitors at the same time: mature benchmarks like the Tesla Model Y, cost-effective domestic pure electric models like the Zeekr 7X, as well as differentiated competitors in the intelligent and range-extender segments represented by the Luxeed R7 and Li Auto L6 respectively. The breakthrough point for the new LS6 is to bundle the full steer-by-wire Lizard chassis, rear-wheel steering, 800V ultra-fast charging and high-level assisted driving as standard lower-trim offerings, forming a differentiated advantage in the large five-seat pure electric market with a combination of strengths.
