[AUTOHOME New Car Launch] On September 23, Changan Qiyuan's all-new mid-size SUV, the Qiyuan Q06, was officially launched. Exterior: Streaming Light Aesthetics, Sharp and Dynamic
The styling of the Qiyuan Q06 is led by world-renowned design master Klaus, co-created with nearly 1,000 designers around the world. Taking "streaming light aesthetics" as the design inspiration, it integrates "flowing light" and "smooth form" to achieve the visual effect of light following the shape and form moving with light. The front face adopts a through-type headlight, with 236 LEDs matched with the industry-leading 2,258mm seamless 10-in-1 through-type light cluster, delivering 21% higher illumination brightness and 27% wider illumination range.
Viewed from the side of the body, details such as frameless doors, low-drag rearview mirrors, hidden water cut, low-drag door handles and 20-inch wheels reduce the vehicle's drag coefficient to 0.27. The body dimensions are 4,837mm in length, 1,970mm in width and 1,670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940mm. The segment-leading 4X wheel-to-axle ratio and 2.21X wheel-to-height ratio lower the visual center of gravity, giving this mid-size SUV a dynamic stance similar to a sports car.
At the rear, the new model presents three-dimensional tension with full surfaces and clear hip lines, its front-low and rear-high posture looks like a sculpture when stationary and poised for action when in motion. The taillights adopt a wide design, with internal light sources presented as thin strips, matched with an illuminable Qiyuan logo. The rear bumper is equipped with dual rear diffuser decorative panels, presenting a highly dynamic design style. The vehicle is available in seven exclusive metallic paint colors: Streaming Emerald, Rosy Glow, Floating Light Silver, Pine Shadow Black, Sunset Purple, Sky Grey and Cloud Sail White, which present flowing colors through the angle-dependent color shifting process.
Interior: Wraparound Cockpit, Premium Quality
The interior adopts three design languages: "wraparound, floating, and hidden edge": the IP instrument panel and door panels are integrally covered to create a wraparound feel, a hidden light strip is set under the white covering, and the chamfered curved surface draws inspiration from pebbles, hiding sharp features and presenting a friendly section. The soft covering area of the whole vehicle reaches 90.6%, and areas above the waistline (including B and C-pillar armrests) are all made of skin-friendly NAPA-textured eco-friendly materials, focusing on mother-and-baby level healthy cockpit experience. The 256-color floating ambient light has a total length of 4,450mm running through the cockpit, and the 15mm recessed light strip achieves the soft halo effect of "seeing the light without seeing the lamp".

In terms of the cockpit, the Q06 is equipped with the segment-leading MediaTek 4nm automotive-grade 8676 chip, paired with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen. The Tianshu intelligent agent supports complex intent orchestration and one-command multi-control, enabling continuous voice commands and voiceprint recognition. The segment-first sunflower dynamic desktop is driven by the Time Engine, which changes in real time in linkage with light and vehicle status, and its UI won the French Design Award Gold. The segment-first four-map integrated lane-level navigation merges four types of information — lane-level map, intelligent driving information, environment reconstruction and SR perception rendering — into one map. The Digital Intelligence Dabai human-machine interaction system integrates functions such as "tap to open" the front and rear trunks, and intelligent control knobs.
For intelligent driving, the Qiyuan Q06 comes standard with Tianshu Pilot Pro, and can be optionally equipped with the Tianshu Pilot Ultra upgrade package (560TOPS computing power, 256-line LiDAR, full-scenario one-stage end-to-end pilot and 5 software services). The Ultra version is equipped with 11 high-definition cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars and a 256-line LiDAR, adopting the one-stage end-to-end Tianshu SDA large model, supporting full-scenario pilot, the segment-exclusive "interactive pilot" (voice command for lane change, pull over, behavior memory), as well as complex parking space parking, memory parking (30 routes, maximum 3km per single route), trace reverse driving, remote parking and other functions. Active safety covers 31 items, AEB can brake to a stop for stationary vehicles at a maximum speed of 135km/h during the day and 110km/h at night, and AES automatic emergency steering supports speeds between 60 and 120km/h.

Based on the SDA platform that maximizes structural space for the cockpit, the Q06 achieves a segment-leading 91.7% space utilization rate. The rear headroom is 1,041mm (1,064mm when the sunshade is open), knee room is 155mm, shoulder room is 1,416mm. The rear central floor is flat, and a 180cm tall passenger can enjoy a knee room of three fists and two fingers. Powertrain: 800V Platform + 6C Ultra Fast Charging, Pure Electric / Range Extender Dual Lineups
In terms of powertrain, the Qiyuan Q06 provides two power forms: pure electric and range extender. The pure electric version comes standard with 800V + 6C ultra fast charging, and offers rear-mounted single motor and rear-mounted dual motor options. The range extender version is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 72kW, matched with rear-mounted dual motors for rear-wheel drive. The combined motor power is 270kW, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 5.8 seconds. The battery pack is a 28.39kWh LFP battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of 200km and a comprehensive range of 1,600km.
In terms of chassis, the new model adopts all-aluminum front double wishbone + rear five-link suspension, paired with 4 hydraulic damping adaptive adjustment systems as standard across the range, tuned by the team of German chassis tuning master Peter Davis over a period of 9 months.
