[AutoHome News] Recently, we spotted the new AITO M8 in the Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Eligible for Vehicle Purchase Tax Reduction and Exemption (34th Batch). The new model retains the family design language, with adjustments made to details, and a new side camera is added to the C-pillar. Meanwhile, the new vehicle will continue to offer 5-seater and 6-seater versions, as well as range-extender and pure electric powertrain systems. The pure electric version will be equipped with battery packs of 120.04329kWh and 97.644kWh, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 830/800km and 708/675km respectively; the range-extender version will be fitted with battery packs of 75.408kWh and 56.036kWh, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 365/358km and 256km respectively.
In terms of appearance, the overall styling of the vehicle still follows the design of the current model, with only adjustments to details. From the front face, the lower air intake grille of the new model adopts a dense honeycomb design, which is different from the simple horizontal design of the current model. As for the side details of the body, a new high-position camera is added to the C-pillar, which is in line with the design of the new AITO M9. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 5190/1999/1795mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3105mm, which is consistent with the current model. In addition, the new vehicle will also offer 20-inch and 21-inch wheels to choose from.
In terms of optional configurations, the vehicle offers options such as wheel styles and side footrests. In terms of power, the new AITO M8 continues to provide range-extender and pure electric powertrain systems, but both have adjusted power parameters. The range-extender version is equipped with a 1.5T engine + dual motors, with a maximum engine power of 118kW, and maximum motor powers of 170kW (front) and 227kW (rear); the pure electric version has maximum motor powers of 160kW (front) and 227kW (rear).
