As a facelifted model, it mainly receives upgrades in interior and exterior details, and switches from front-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the new model will be officially launched on September 23.
In terms of appearance, the new vehicle largely retains the design style of the current model. The closed front grille paired with slim headlight clusters delivers good recognizability. At the same time, adjustments have been made to the front bumper design, with matte chrome elements added as embellishments. Coupled with the slightly shovel-shaped front lip, the sporty feel of the vehicle is appropriately enhanced. In addition, the car is also equipped with a LiDAR, and is expected to be fitted with the Qianli Haohan H5 intelligent driving solution.
From the side of the body, the car is equipped with traditional-style door handles and multi-spoke wheels. For the rear part, it adopts a through-type taillight cluster, with the English logo of the Geely brand added below the taillight cluster to enrich the visual layering. In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new vehicle are 4636mm/1920mm/1670mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2750mm. The body length and width parameters have been improved compared with the current model.
In terms of interior, the new Galaxy E5 also continues the design style of the current model. The large-sized floating central control screen, full LCD instrument cluster and the new-style three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel deliver good texture. As for other configurations, the car is equipped with a mobile phone wireless charging module, Flyme sound speakers, a head-up display (HUD), and a crystal knob is added in the center console area.
In terms of power, the new vehicle has previously completed the declaration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its front-mounted single motor of the current model has been replaced by a rear-mounted single motor, with a maximum power of 245 kW, which is 85 kW higher than that of the current model. At the same time, the car will also be equipped with Geely AI intelligent charging technology and the new generation of Shield short-blade battery. The chassis suspension continues the combination of front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension.
