[Home of Cars New Car Launch] Recently, at the 2026 IAA Transportation Hanover, Kia's new PV7 made its official debut. The new vehicle is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, enabling 10% to 80% fast charging in 25 minutes. It will first go on sale in South Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, and Kia will later launch the PV9 model.

In terms of exterior design, the new PV7 adopts the brand's family design language. The front end features split LED headlights with a dynamic and streamlined profile, and a triangular window is added to the A-pillar. The front bumper is made of a large number of plastic components that can be replaced individually. As commercial vehicles are prone to scratches, this design can reduce maintenance costs and working hours. The PV7 has a body length of 5,350mm and a wheelbase of 3,500mm. Long-wheelbase and high-roof versions will be launched later to further improve cargo capacity.

In terms of interior, the new vehicle is equipped with a 9.9-inch instrument display and a 14.6-inch central control touchscreen, running the Pleos Connect infotainment system developed based on Android, with the built-in Gleo AI voice assistant. Physical buttons are retained below the central control screen. The new vehicle will be available in cargo and passenger versions. The passenger version offers 7-seater, 9-seater and 11-seater layouts, with three or four rows of seats.

In terms of power, the new vehicle is built on the dedicated pure electric E-GMP.S platform, adopting an 800V high-voltage architecture. It is equipped with a front-mounted single motor with a maximum power of 200 kilowatts and a peak torque of 420 N·m. Two battery specifications are available: 71.5 kilowatt-hour and 96.2 kilowatt-hour. The cargo version equipped with the 96.2 kilowatt-hour battery has a WLTP range of over 460 kilometers. When connected to a 350kW DC fast charger, it takes approximately 25 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%, and it supports the V2L (Vehicle to Load) external discharge function.
