[AutoHome News] With the explosion of "9-series" flagship SUV products in the past year, this segment has now become one of the most fiercely competitive markets. Whether you have a budget of 200,000 RMB or over 500,000 RMB, you can find at least 3 competing products. The competition in the 300,000-350,000 RMB market segment is particularly intense, which undoubtedly adds considerable difficulty for late entrants. The Yijing X9, which is set to launch on September 24, previously announced a pre-sale price range of 299,800-379,800 RMB, placing it right in the middle of this highly competitive market environment. Let's take a look at how it plans to stand out from the crowd.

"Huawei content" is no less than that of HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility models

When it comes to Huawei Qiankun, the first thing that comes to mind for most people is HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility. As a late entrant, the Yijing X9 and its all-new brand are relatively unfamiliar to many consumers. Therefore, before introducing the Yijing X9, let's first review the origin of the Yijing brand.

November 20, 2025: Yijing brand officially launched

Yijing X9 made its debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show

Yijing is a brand jointly built by Dongfeng Motor and Huawei Qiankun. The two parties officially launched their strategic cooperation project in 2023, and upgraded the cooperation to the 2.0 era in 2025, establishing a "deep co-creation" model centered on "joint definition, joint development, and joint office". A total of over 10 billion RMB in R&D funds has been planned, and a joint R&D team of thousands of people has been formed. On November 20, 2025, the Yijing brand was officially released, and the Yijing X9 made its world debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show shortly after.

Through the Yijing X9, we can intuitively understand the meaning of the "deep co-creation" model. Equipped with six major Huawei Qiankun intelligent solutions, including Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system, HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, AMS 3-in-1 in-cabin AI multimodal perception system, and HUAWEI XPIXEL megapixel color intelligent headlights, the Yijing X9's "Huawei content" is completely on par with products under HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility. It announced a pre-sale price range of 299,800-379,800 RMB on August 18, offering 500,000 RMB-level configurations at a price of over 300,000 RMB, which will be the Yijing X9's biggest trump card.

Yijing X9

Now let's review the new vehicle. The exterior of the Yijing X9 is built based on the "Latitude and Longitude Streamer" design philosophy. The front fascia is equipped with an integrated galaxy streamer intelligent light group, with a total length of 1.83 meters for the through-type light strip. It is also equipped with HUAWEI XPIXEL megapixel intelligent projection headlights, which can realize rich light interaction and road projection functions. In terms of body colors, the new vehicle will offer 6 options: Andean Gray, Bordeaux Purple, Lisbon Black, Alpine White, Prague Golden Brown, and Tuscan Red.

On the side, the new vehicle adopts a semi-hidden door handle design, with a short front overhang and long rear overhang style that creates a strong sense of volume. Its length, width and height are 5301/2015/1820mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3120mm. It will be equipped with 21-inch wheels and intelligent sensor electric doors. At the rear, the vehicle adopts a through-type taillight group composed of 1,172 industry's smallest ISD lamp beads, presenting a galaxy texture when lit, with maximum recognition.

Moving inside, the Yijing X9 offers five customized cockpit color schemes: Morning Light White, Prime Apricot, Chixia Orange, Wilderness Brown, and Dusk Cloud Purple. The center console features a dual 17.2-inch 3.4K resolution butterfly dual-screen design, which supports multiple split-screen modes such as 1:3, 2:2, and 1:1:2. A 75-inch HUAWEI XHUD augmented reality head-up display is provided in front of the driver, while the rear is equipped with a 21-inch rear ceiling-mounted soft light screen and a 32-inch screen HUAWEI XSCENE LCoS in-vehicle laser projection system. The projection system supports five projection modes: giant screen, floating window, single screen, dual screen, and open-air cinema.

At the same time, the vehicle is equipped with the HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, which has a built-in new generation Xiaoyi intelligent agent based on the MoLA 2.0 architecture, positioned as a full-scenario chat AI assistant with deep thinking and vivid full-scenario interaction capabilities. In addition, the new vehicle also provides an AI companion robot "HAMOMO", which can intuitively present wake-up, listening, and instruction execution status through different expressions, and can even be taken out of the cabin to become an intelligent companion for children during trips.

The in-car seats adopt a 2+2+2 layout. The front row is equipped with a queen co-pilot seat with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The rear row is equipped with dual zero-gravity seats, which provide three massage methods: airbag massage, mechanical massage and exciter massage, as well as a digital rhythm function that can link with the cockpit music and zero-gravity mode, bringing a comprehensive audio-body integrated seating comfort. The third-row seats support a maximum recline angle of 133°. The seat layout can also be flexibly adjusted to switch between six modes: single-person lunch break, family nap, double SPA, private cinema, camping bed, and full-load travel.

The vehicle provides 43 storage spaces throughout the cabin. When all six seats are occupied, the trunk volume is 484L. When traveling with four people, the storage space can be expanded to 1,368L. Other configurations include a front-row wireless mobile phone charging panel, starry sky ambient lighting, integrated hidden electric welcome pedals, a 9L dual-opening cold and warm refrigerator (-6°C to 50°C), a 21-speaker HUAWEI SOUND audio system, and a negative oxygen ion fresh air system.

In terms of safety, the Yijing X9 adopts a body structure with 6 longitudinal beams and 11 transverse beams, with high-strength steel and aluminum alloy accounting for 92.4%, including 2300MPa A-pillar hot gas expansion tube beams, side door anti-collision beams, thermoformed double door rings, and 2400MPa B-pillar stacked super steel. In terms of driving assistance, the new vehicle comes standard with 896-line dual optical path image-level LiDAR, and is equipped with the four-LiDAR Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 Max full-stack solution, which supports full-scenario navigation and roaming modes.

In terms of power, the new vehicle adopts range-extended power. The 1.5T range extender has a maximum power of 95kW. The two-wheel drive version has a motor maximum power of 300kW, matched with a 74.29kWh battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of 465km and a comprehensive range of 1,570km. The four-wheel drive version has a comprehensive power of 450kW, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 5.1 seconds. It is also matched with a 74.29kWh battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of 432km and a comprehensive range of 1,570km.

The vehicle is built based on the Huawei Qiankun Chitu platform. The chassis adopts front double wishbone and rear five-link suspension, and is equipped with dual-chamber air suspension + EDC continuously variable damping shock absorber, supporting road preview, 120km/h blowout stability, and motion sickness relief functions. In addition, it is also equipped with bidirectional 14° rear-wheel steering technology, with a minimum turning radius of 5.3 meters.

Competitors

Judging from the pre-sale price range, models with a high price overlap with the Yijing X9 include the ID.ERA 9X, Lynk & Co 900, and Xpeng GX, among others. Among competitors in the same class, configurations such as refrigerator, large screen, comfortable seats, and air suspension can basically no longer create gaps. The most obvious advantage of the Yijing X9 is undoubtedly the support of Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit 6. It is worth mentioning that the Xpeng GX also offers steer-by-wire technology, which gives it a certain advantage in the same class.

Of course, the biggest challenge facing the Yijing X9 will be how to compete with the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90. Although the two have different seat layouts, they are both positioned as family-oriented SUVs and also adopt range-extended power. Considering outdoor attributes, the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 can provide a more flexible space layout to enrich outdoor scenarios. The Yijing X9, on the other hand, is equipped with rear-wheel steering and 896-line LiDAR, which help it perform more adeptly on urban roads. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90's starting price of 269,900 RMB seems to be more advantageous, but configurations such as the refrigerator, large screen, and comfortable seats are all optional, and are given for free during the initial sales period. Whether it will continue the free gift policy after the initial sales period, and whether the official price of the Yijing X9 will bring more surprises, remains to be seen.

Write in the end:

From its debut at the Beijing Auto Show to its upcoming official launch on September 24, a large number of new products, including the all-new Li L9, Leapmotor D19, Xpeng GX, and the recently launched Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 and Li i9, have indeed raised consumers' standards for "9-series flagship" SUVs. Fortunately, with six major Qiankun intelligent solutions offered at a price of over 300,000 RMB, it remains the only option in the current market. Therefore, it received 21,235 orders within 24 hours after the pre-sale opened, which can be considered a vote of confidence. Whether it can become a dark horse in the "9-series flagship" SUV market in the second half of the year remains to be seen. (Written by / Auto Home Guo Chen)
