[AUTOHOME Official New Car Images] On September 1, Lexus officially released the official images of the new Lexus NX. As a mid-cycle facelift model, the new vehicle has received styling adjustments to its exterior and interior design, as well as optimized upgrades to configuration, powertrain and other aspects. It is reported that as of July 2026, the NX series has recorded cumulative sales of approximately 1.9 million units in more than 90 countries and regions. According to market information, the new model is expected to open for pre-orders in Europe in November 2026, with delivery and registration starting in March 2027; the launch schedule for the US market has not been officially announced; no relevant introduction plans for the Chinese domestic market have been released yet, and follow-up developments are subject to further disclosure by Lexus official.

In terms of exterior design, the new car continues the "Vital x Tech" design concept. The front fascia adopts a frameless spindle grille, paired with a newly optimized LED headlight cluster; the F-Sport sports variant is still available, equipped with new 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers and an exclusive rear bumper aerodynamic kit.

The side profile of the vehicle remains largely unchanged, but due to the updated exterior kit, the body length has increased by 30mm to 4690mm, while the wheelbase, width and height remain the same. The overall dimensions of the vehicle are 4690/1865/1660mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 2690mm. At the same time, multiple new body colors are added, and wheels are available in 18-inch and 20-inch specifications, while the 19-inch wheel configuration is canceled.

At the rear end, the new car is equipped with a black roof spoiler with a built-in high-mounted brake light cluster, and the rear window is fitted with a wiper. The internal light source structure of the rear taillights has been adjusted, adopting a "double L" lighting design, paired with an illuminable Lexus letter logo, which improves recognition while lowering the visual center of gravity of the rear.

The interior is the most significantly revised part of this facelift. The instrument panel, center console and gauge panel are all redesigned, with the design concept referencing the new ES sedan and TZ pure electric SUV. The cabin is equipped with a 14-inch central control multimedia display, paired with a 12.3-inch full LCD driver instrument. Air conditioning and camera controls are changed to capacitive touch buttons, arranged above the air vents.

The steering wheel diameter has been reduced by 0.39 inches to optimize grip feel, and the telescopic adjustment travel of the steering wheel has been increased. Engineers have lowered the seat installation position, while the seat body structure remains unchanged, reducing the overall sitting posture and making it closer to the vehicle's center of gravity. In terms of storage capacity, the European-spec model has a conventional trunk volume of 546L, with an additional 26L of storage space under the double-layer floor.

The European market offers four configuration grades: Business, Executive, Luxury and F Sport. High-end models are equipped with rear seat heating, leather interior, streaming rearview mirror, Head-Up Display (HUD), 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and other equipment, while the base version comes standard with full LED headlights, front electrically heated seats, electric steering wheel, electric tailgate and other configurations.

The new NX is equipped with the new generation Lexus Intelligent Safety System LSS+ 4.0, which expands the sensor detection range and recognition distance, and can easily cope with complex urban road conditions. In addition, optimizations have been made to the driver status monitoring system, driver emergency response system, Adaptive High-beam System (AHS), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), 360-degree panoramic monitoring system and other functions, further improving safety and making driving safer and more reassuring.
In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid 450h+ and hybrid 350h have been fully upgraded to Lexus' sixth-generation hybrid system. The NX 350h adopts a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine combined with an electric motor, uses the same lithium-ion battery as the ES 350h, with reduced battery weight and optimized cooling system, delivering a total system output of 199 horsepower. In addition, the new car also retains the 300h variant, which is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor.
The plug-in hybrid NX 450h+ adopts a combination of a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and dual motors, with a total system power of 303 horsepower. The battery capacity has been increased from 18.1kWh to 23kWh, delivering a pure electric range of 140 km under the WLTC cycle. The plug-in hybrid version supports DC fast charging, which can complete 10%-80% charge in 30 minutes. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese domestic market is expected to only introduce the 350h and 300h models.
In addition, the towing capacity of hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions has been improved, with a maximum towing mass of 1500kg. In terms of transmission, all variants are mated to an ECVT continuously variable transmission, while the 450h+ comes standard with four-wheel drive, and the 350h is available in front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.
In terms of chassis and NVH performance, the engine block structure has been redesigned to improve rigidity and optimize vibration and noise suppression. Additional sound-absorbing materials are added to multiple parts of the body, arranged at the rear bumper, rear door and B-pillar positions. The official claims that engine noise and road noise can be reduced by about 20%. The overall rigidity of the floor has been increased by about 25%, the front suspension tower structure is integrated with the A-pillar, and local rigidity is increased by 30%, so as to optimize steering response and suppress driving vibration. At the same time, the accelerator pedal feel is optimized, and steering response is further tuned and upgraded.
