[Auto Home News] GAC Trumpchi Yue 7 will kick off pre-sale on September 2. Positioned as a mid-to-large size plug-in hybrid SUV, the new model is equipped with a 1.5T engine + electric motor plug-in hybrid system, adopts a boxy silhouette, and features a more distinctive exterior design.
In terms of exterior, the Yue 7 features a boxy body with straight lines. The front fascia adopts a closed design for new energy vehicles, with the GAC letter logo placed in the center; on both sides are vertical five-row array headlights, which are square on the outside and round on the inside. The front bumper has a rugged design, and the wheel arches extend outward. The roof is equipped with a lidar, and perception sensors are arranged on the fenders.
The side of the vehicle is equipped with wide D-pillars and a floating roof, with side steps as standard. Its body dimensions are 5045/2004/1933mm, with a wheelbase of 2900mm; the approach angle is 30°, the departure angle is 33°, and the ground clearance is 310mm. The wheels are available in three styles, including 18-inch and 20-inch specifications, and 18-inch all-terrain (AT) tires are optional.
The rear of the vehicle has a square shape, adopts a side-opening door structure, and is equipped with an external "small backpack" module, which can be switched between an external spare tire and an external storage box. The taillights are vertical three-dimensional units, and the rear bumper is reinforced. The whole vehicle reserves 37 factory expansion interfaces. The paint is available in four color options: Tam Desert Glow Sand, Black Lone Ink Shadow, Gongga Silver Peak, and Taibai Snow Top.
The interior adopts a hardcore style with straight lines, and is available in three interior color schemes: Slate Sand Gold, Basalt Ink, Granite Cloud White. The cabin is equipped with a 1.1-meter panoramic through-type interstellar screen, built-in 5 themes including light off-road, performance, intelligent driving, cute pet and minimalist, fitted with 35 functional components, supporting more than 7,000 customized combinations. The infotainment system is powered by Qualcomm 8838 chip, equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, runs on ADiGO 7.0 Xinghe Intelligent Cockpit System with a pet mode; it is compatible with multi-protocol interconnection including CarPlay, HiCar, CarLink and MagicRing, and is equipped with high-orbit satellite communication.
The cabin retains physical buttons, the roof is equipped with aviation-style toggle levers, and is fitted with threaded expansion interfaces. The second-row seat back supports angle adjustment, and when the seats are fully folded down, a 1.9-meter flat surface can be formed, with an expanded volume of 1860L. The whole vehicle is equipped with a 20-speaker ADiGO SOUND PRO audio system.
The powertrain is equipped with a 1.5T engine + electric motor plug-in hybrid system, and the new generation Xingyuan plug-in hybrid engine has a maximum power of 125kW. According to the declaration information, the battery is available in three versions: 28.3kWh, 38.883kWh and 45.975kWh (CATL Xiaoyao large battery), corresponding to WLTC pure electric range of 116km, 180km and 188km respectively. The vehicle adopts a unibody body with an embedded girder structure.
The chassis is equipped with closed dual-chamber air suspension and SDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers. The off-road hardware is equipped with front and rear mechanical differential locks, energy central lock, and 9+X intelligent all-terrain mode, covering working modes such as intelligent, wading and expert.
